Congrats to our latest ROSE and IRIS award winners: This month’s ROSE award winner is podiatry receptionist, Alison Smedley who received three nominations from members of the public. Her winning nominations said: “Alison is so helpful, caring and very professional. She is the sort of person the NHS needs.” You can find the full winning nominations here.
This month’s IRIS winner is our very own longest serving nurse and national (health service) treasure, Barbara Craven. Barbara has worked in various roles across north Derbyshire since starting as a nurse cadet in 1967. Her dedication to nursing was fostered by a wish to help her miner dad after a bad pit accident. She has been helping people ever since… for 57 years, and is a very deserving winner of our latest IRIS award. Barbara’s nomination included eight pages of citations from colleagues across the whole health and social care system. With nominations from colleagues from DCHS, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Derbyshire adult social care and the home from hospital team, Barbara has touched the lives of many people across the system. You can read the full nomination here.
Well done to both of this month’s winners!
