Let’s chat flu: For this week’s DCHS fluathon, we’re talking all things flu and vaccinations. We’re launching our competition to design next year’s flu sticker – if you have any budding artists within your family, why not get them involved? The winner will see their design made into reality for next year’s campaign and they’ll win a festive hamper. The competition closes on Monday 2 December. There’s still plenty of chances to get your flu vaccination this week with our regular bookable and drop-in clinics here. Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent the spread of flu within our community and to safeguard those who rely on our care. Let’s work together to stay healthy this winter.
Vote now for your flu charity: You can vote now to support local or national charities to benefit from our flu vaccination campaign. This year for every flu jab that a Team DCHS colleague receives, including our flexible workforce and those who have had their jab elsewhere, we will donate £1 to be split out between our three chosen charities. Click here to view our voting page where you can view all the local and national charities that colleagues suggested and make your votes - we’re looking for you to vote for one charity per area – North Derbyshire, South Derbyshire and High Peak. Voting closes on 15 November so be quick!
2024 NHS Staff Survey: Our organisational rate is now almost 56%. The survey is an important opportunity for all of us working within DCHS to share our experiences, insights and thoughts on how we can continue to improve as an organisation and employer. Don't forget, you can use your protected time to share your thoughts - we all have a voice that counts. If you experience any issues completing your survey, please let Simon Rose know.
End PJ paralysis: This week we’re focusing on the #EndPJparalysis campaign and how we can work together to reduce unnecessary time spent in hospital beds. This national campaign emphasises the importance of keeping patients mobile and engaged to avoid the negative effects of prolonged bed rest and helping people not to spend any longer in hospital than is clinically necessary. Every day this week, we will be sharing some thoughts and comments across our social media channels and we’d love you to get involved in the conversation. If you’re planning anything for the week to tackle PJ paralysis - please share your plans with Aoife Gibbons.
