Come along, Walton Hospital, this Thursday! We’ll share lots of information with you about what’s happening on site to develop high-tech diagnostic services. Find us in the dining room corridor, 11am – 2pm. You can vote on your choice of photos to decorate the new unit too. More details here.
NHS Staff Survey closes this week: There's only one week left to have your say in this year’s survey – it closes this Friday. Please make sure that you use your voice to complete the survey if you haven’t done so already. It only takes about 10 minutes and what you say will help us make improvements in areas that matter to you. Our response rate is 62%, but we want to hear from everyone to get the best possible sense of DCHS as a place to work. If you have any questions about the survey, just contact Simon Rose. And just a reminder to you all - the survey is completely anonymous. We all have a voice that counts.
New Datix incident training videos: Training on how to report an incident, which was previously delivered by MS Teams, has now been replaced with two new videos. Click the link here to view the videos for how to report a patient/client/customer incident and how to report a non-patient incident.
People Promise roadshow coming to North Wingfield this week: The People Promise roadshow will be at North Wingfield this week. There’s chance to find out more about our staff networks, chat to our Freedom to Speak Up Guardian, enter a raffle, grab some freebies, and even get your flu jab – all under one roof! We really hope you take the opportunity to go along and find out how we are making the People Promise work for us in DCHS. Join us on Thursday (28 November) at North Wingfield Resource Centre, from 11am – 2:30pm.
Do you have questions regarding your NHS Pension? Consultation sessions have been arranged in conjunction with our pensions advisory team for you to obtain information about your NHS pension and to get any questions answered. The consultation appointments will be by telephone or MS Teams and are held on a one-to-one basis. Take a look here for information on appointments, and contact Janet Davies (PA to Heads of Service) to book a slot.

You're invited to our Board meeting in South Normanton: This month's meeting takes place on Thursday 5 December at the Postmill Centre, off Market Street, South Normanton, Alfreton, DE55 2EJ from 12.30pm. It will start with a focus on how we are tackling health inequalities in the communities we serve. That session runs from 12:30pm until 1:30pm with a chance to ask questions, and will be followed at 2pm by the Trust’s regular Board meeting to which staff and members of the public are invited as observers. Reports and meeting papers can be found here.
Design a flu sticker competition: It’s the last week to enter our competition to design next year’s flu sticker. If you work for Team DCHS and you or your family are budding artists, why not get involved? The winner will see their design made into reality for next year’s campaign and win a festive hamper. You can draw your entry on an A4 sheet of paper, but please be mindful that when printed the flu stickers are usually around 30mm so any text or image will be scaled down to size. Email your entries to dchst.flu@nhs.net before Monday 2 December!
Quality Improvement (QI) Community meetings are back! The next QI Community meeting is on Thursday 12 December, 12pm -1.30pm. Everybody is welcome. This will be a time to connect as a community, hear about QI projects from throughout the Trust and network with your colleagues.
