Temporary closure of Walton pharmacy: On Wednesday 21 May, Walton pharmacy will be closed for a half-day team training session. The dispensary's opening hours will be: 9am – 12 noon and 4 – 5pm. Please plan ahead and address any routine needs during these hours. Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Boards' World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Boards are raising awareness of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) and will be facilitating two webinars on Monday 16 June on 'older victims of domestic abuse' and 'sexual abuse in older adults'. Webinars for NHS staff about involving carers in discharge planning: These live, free sessions between June and December, are designed to help NHS staff and volunteers improve how carers are identified, involved and supported during the hospital discharge process. The programme includes awareness training, access to resources and best practice examples of a carer’s journey. These sessions are open to all healthcare professionals and volunteers working in NHS Derby and Derbyshire hospitals. Details are here or on this poster.

Information governance sessions: An information governance session is taking place via MS Teams this Wednesday, 21 May at 12.00 noon – 12.45pm. It is open to all and will include information on information governance incidents, WhatsApp, MS Teams, AI, cyber and homeworking. NHS pension queries: Consultation sessions have been arranged in conjunction with our pensions advisory team for you to obtain information about your NHS pension, to gain more understanding and have your questions answered.
The consultation appointments will be by telephone or MS Teams and held on a one-to-one basis with a pensions advisor.
