Use of multifunctional devices for scanning documents: Errors can occur if the incorrect PIN is entered when scanning documents, potentially sending sensitive information to the wrong mailbox. To prevent this, double-check the PIN and ensure your name appears on the screen (see example screenshot here). If you make an error, report it via Datix and try to identify where the document was sent.
If you receive an unexpected scanned document, contact the sender if identifiable (who should report their error via Datix) and delete the email. If you can't identify the sender, report receiving the information in error via Datix.
RSE Day – Thursday 26 June: This week we’re marking relationships and sex education (RSE) week across Derby and Derbyshire, culminating in RSE day on Thursday 26 June. Colleagues from the communications team will be sharing resources and messages across the week via Your Sexual Health Matters our social media channels, in collaboration with teen health and family health services. Posts will highlight how our brilliant services can support young people and families to talk more openly about relationships and sexual health. You can explore the national campaign and download resources, including activities for schools and families, here.

Energy savings support patient care – each small action counts: Across the Trust we are taking simple, everyday steps to cut energy use, to save money and help build a more financially resilient NHS. If you have a smart idea to help us save energy, send it to dchst.communications@nhs.net – your suggestion could inspire others and be featured in future updates. Energy-saving tip: Shut down computers and monitors, don’t just leave them on standby. One monitor left on can cost £10 per year. Across the Trust? Thousands. Help us cut the waste – power down.
Quality Conversations sessions: All upcoming Quality Conversations sessions for July and August are now available. Whether you're looking to build your skills, connect with peers or dive into important topics that impact our work, there’s a session for you.
