Last call for clinical staff: measure up or miss out! Have you been measured for your new national NHS uniform yet? If not, it’s vital you do so before the end of July so we can place our first bulk order. The new uniforms are gender neutral and less form-fitting, which means we’re moving to new sizing that can’t be guessed. If we don’t have your measurements, we can’t order your uniform. Pop-up measuring events are still running across the county, but time is running out. If your order isn’t in by the end of July, you won’t receive your new uniform in the February/March 2026 rollout. The last remaining dates can be found here.

Unused specialised equipment: We’ve been asked to collect details on the amount of unused specialised equipment currently held by staff across DCHS. This is part of a wider effort to improve resource management considering the current financial climate.
To support this, we’ve created a Microsoft Teams form that will make it easy for staff to report any specialised equipment they’re not actively using. Fill out the form here.
The latest 'Conversations in Frailty' podcast is out now – de-prescribing: We touch on this topic in so many of the podcasts already, so it’s great to have an opportunity to go into a bit more depth. And who better to do that with than Louise Organista and Katie Roberts, advanced pharmacists with the frail elderly assessment team at the Royal Derby Hospital? We discuss why it’s vital to keep our patients safe and the language we can use to ensure it’s a positive shared decision-making moment. Useful stuff for a topic that is relevant to so many of our consultations. Take a listen on Youtube or find it and follow on Spotify.
Did you know that you can save up to 40% on salary sacrifice lease car costs by leasing a used car? Our lease car providers, GMP, now provide access to vehicles between one and three years old. They are a mix of electric and plug-in-hybrid vehicles and some regular brands include Tesla, BMW and Kia. The vehicles have been fully inspected and come with the same benefits as a new lease car, but at a lower cost to you. Another great benefit of these “pre-loved” vehicles is that the delivery time is from two to four weeks. You can see extensive photos of the interior and exterior of the vehicle, such as the engine, vehicle display with odometer reading, tyres and alloys, giving you transparency for the condition of the vehicle and any interesting features/options before proceeding. Find out more about our salary sacrifice scheme by visiting our sustainability page. (Note, you need to be logged in to access the scheme's details)
