Race Equality Week: This week is Race Equality Week, a UK-wide initiative uniting thousands of organisations to break down barriers to race equality in the workplace. It’s not just an event, it’s a movement to create inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and respected.
Active bystander training: One of the most powerful tools we’ve introduced to tackle racism is active bystander training. Over 350 staff members across DCHS have already completed the programme. Why is this training critical?
- It empowers staff to recognise and challenge inappropriate behaviour safely and confidently.
- It helps uphold the NHS People Promise, promoting civility, inclusion and respect.
- It creates a culture where everyone feels safer and valued, reducing the bystander effect that often allows harmful behaviours to persist.
The next session is on Thursday, 12 February at Charnos Hall (1pm - 4.30pm). To book your place, please use this link.
Anonymous reporting form: DCHS does not tolerate unwanted, harmful and/or inappropriate behaviours of any kind. You can now report incidents here.
