As agreed at the last meeting, Hannah Fletcher and Jane Clarke have been invited to introduce us to the free version of Copilot - for those of you ready to dip your toes into the world of AI and all things digital! Here and here are a couple of guides to get you started.
Places are available on the deaf and disability workshop (online), Tuesday 10 March, 9.30am - 12.30am. The aim of the course is to assist staff in breaking down barriers and creating a positive, supportive and inclusive environment. Book via ESR and learn more about:
- Identifying prejudice and stereotyping
- Exploring issues of discrimination and barriers to services
- Medical and social models of disability and inclusive services
- Differences between deaf (BSL), deafened, hard of hearing and deafblind people
- Basic understanding of hearing aids/cochlear implants
- Understanding communication techniques
- British Sign Language (BSL) and Sign Support English (SSE).
New for 2026 – Bespoke QI and audit training: IIET now offers tailored Quality Improvement and audit training for your team - ideal for team meetings, away days or standalone sessions. We can cover:
- Intro to Quality Improvement
- Turning audits into meaningful change
- Practical tools: process mapping, sustainability tool, driver diagrams and more.
Sessions run from 45 minutes to two hours and are customised to your team’s goals.
