I’m excited to start my new role in June bringing our integrated vision to life. I’ve been working with these services for the past year as part of the Transformation Team at Derbyshire County Council and have seen the significant difference that they make to people’s lives. By working together in partnership we will help even more people to benefit from these services and empower more people to return to living in their own homes. I’m looking forward to continuing our journey together to build on what these teams have already achieved. If you see me around do stop me to chat! |

A new name and lanyard for a new partnership - becoming Community First! |

We are really pleased to confirm that we have agreed a name for our Partnership. We will be ‘Community First’ from 1 July!
The name captures the spirit and ambition of the Partnership – to continue to support people to return to independence in their community. It will allow a seamless response to any changes made as a result of local government reorganisation and also aligns with the Derby City and DCHS unified offer which has been successfully operating for nearly 2 years.
Officially joining up is an exciting moment for all of us, and we want to mark this occasion. We will have new lanyards available for colleagues in the Partnership to wear from 1 July which moves away from the current organisational lanyards and reflects the coming together of health and social care as equal partners. This will be the first visible sign that we are all now in the same extended team and working together for the people of Derbyshire.
In the coming months, we are going to develop a logo and identity to support the name and objectives of Community First. That will take a little time, and we want to involve colleagues so look out for opportunities to have your say. |

We are aware that there is still lots of information that sits within the Council’s ASCH SharePoint sites, bulletins, intranet etc that colleagues whose employment will change to DCHS will still need to access. Don’t worry, we are working hard to make this happen! |
